    Every day you'll unlock a recorded lesson to do in your own time. After the lesson, you'll find exercises and a task where you'll get my feedback.

    There will be live webinars on days to be arranged, at 7PM or 8PM Lisbon time.

    Most of the course is recorded, but you'll also have the opportunity to have two live lessons.

  • I seriously believe that if you have B1 level or are doing so, this course is tailor-made for you. Some solid knowledge is required as a prerequisite. I recommend this course for students between levels B1-C2.

  • The entire course is recorded in Portuguese, as it should be, because I want you to talk to a local.

    You can activate subtitles in Portuguese or English whenever you want. If you don’t need subtitles, you can turn them off.

    Sometimes I also specify certain English words when they are less common.

    But take it easy! The pace is slow and suitable for students of Portuguese as a foreign language. 

  • There's no problem if you don't take the class on the same day.

    The course will be yours forever, so you can do it later or take advantage of the weekend to do all the lessons released during the week.

    There are two types of assignments: self-corrected exercises and assignments corrected by me.

    However, the daily tasks with my feedback must be done on the day to get feedback. If you don't do them on the day, you won't be able to get my feedback.

Why did you create this course, Filipe?

One day, during the pandemic, I was watching television and at the moment of the news I thought: “Oh, my students could understand almost everything, after all the Portuguese language is easy to understand.”

Suddenly, a Portuguese TV series started and the speech changed completely: new structures, colloquial expressions, rhythm, idioms, in short, an avalanche of forms that we actually use in our practical lives. 

Since then, I've started building this course, studying, analyzing the speech of my friends, family and other Portuguese people and retaining those same structures in an easy, step-by-step course so that you can use them too, like me, a local.

I'm Filipe, your Portuguese teacher

I'm 30, from Aveiro, but I've been living in Lisbon for a few years. I'm a quiet guy with a passion for languages, literature, travel and gastronomy. I also do some cool cooking, so they say. 

I studied at two Portuguese universities and completed my Masters in Portuguese Teaching in 2017. 

I've been working with students from different countries for about 8 years and I've almost lost count of how many I've helped. I've also worked in a few schools in Lisbon, with both native and foreign students.

I'm an optimistic and resilient teacher! My wish is to continue teaching my language and meeting people from all over the world. Can I count on you?
